What are pavement markings? Pavement markings are the markings you see on the ground to indicate directions. This includes information for traffic such as lines and arrows. They are also used in parking lots to differentiate bays and will include parking lines, sections of parking, arrows and many other symbols. Our pavement marking service offers you a professional aesthetic to clearly direct traffic on your site. Using color, symbols and universal signage we will assist you to carefully construct a traffic system that keeps your business smoothly running day and night. Services Having been working in this field for a number of years, our experience in pavement marking is diverse. We have worked on projects that include roads, parking lots, playgrounds, factories, warehouses, and sports courts. Each of these projects has required it’s very own, tailor made project plan before painting begins, and our experienced team are able to assist you in this planning, ensuring that it works correctly before we begin the marking process! The types of markings that we most commonly use are white and yellow lines, other colored lines, line removal, road marking, and pre-formed logos. Whatever you require for your property we will be able to make it happen! Materials We offer a range of materials that will suit your needs and price point. All our paints are extremely durable and have elements within them that make them reflective so they can be seen clearly at night. The most used type of paint is a water-based acrylic. This paint has high visibility, is bright, and excellently durable. It is also very environmentally friendly! With modern technology and machinery that is top notch, the paint is applied neatly and carefully, ensuring a smooth and smart finish. Common line meanings It is useful for you to fully understand the universally recognized meanings for some common pavement markings. Yellow markings are present on roads with traffic going both ways. The yellow line falls into two categories: solid yellow centre line and broken yellow centre lines. A solid line means that a driver may not pass on the road whereas a broken line indicates that you are allowed to pass. White pavement markings are used for directions for traffic. Broken white lines translate that you can change lane on this street. Solid lines indicate that you may not, and you must stick to the shoulder of the road. We also commonly see white markings as arrows which clearly direct traffic; this is particularly useful in parking lots. |
